Vivo X300 is expected to launch later this year with a major camera upgrade, featuring a 200MP main sensor, 50MP ultra-wide, and 50MP 3x telephoto lens. Here’s everything we know so far.

vivo’s upcoming flagship, the X300 series, is gradually coming into focus as new leaks hint at major upgrades in its camera hardware. According to well-known tipster Digital Chat Station, the vivo X300 will likely debut with a powerful 200MP main sensor, marking a significant jump from the 50MP Sony LYT-818 sensor used in the current X200 lineup.
The report claims that the new 200MP sensor will be a 1/1.4-inch unit, aimed at improving image resolution and clarity, especially in low light. Earlier rumours had pointed to the use of a 50MP LYT-828 sensor with a 1/1.28-inch size, but that now seems unlikely.
Joining the main shooter will be a 50MP ultra-wide camera and a 50MP IMX882 telephoto lens offering 3x optical zoom. The X300 series is also tipped to feature a newly developed optical focus prism module, which could enhance zoom stability and precision.
The camera configuration mirrors the general layout seen in the X200 and X200 Pro Mini, but the X300 is expected to consolidate both standard and Pro mini variants into a single, more capable model.
Beyond the cameras, the vivo X300 is expected to come with a 6.3-inch OLED display offering a 120Hz refresh rate. It is also likely to feature a 3D ultrasonic fingerprint scanner embedded under the screen. On the durability front, the phone could arrive with IP68 and IP69 certifications, indicating high resistance to dust and water—making it suitable for rugged usage.
Powering the X300 series will be the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 SoC, vivo’s latest choice for high-end performance in its flagship smartphones. Additional features may include wireless charging support, but exact battery details are still under wraps.
