VinFast is set to open pre-bookings for its VF 6 and VF 7 electric SUVs in India starting July 15. With a growing dealer network and competitive specs, these EVs will be locally assembled and launched this festive season.

VinFast is all set to begin accepting pre-bookings for its electric SUVs, the VF 6 and VF 7, starting tomorrow, July 15, in India. Both models will be the Vietnamese brand’s first locally assembled vehicles, targeting a launch around the upcoming festive season. The move follows the brand’s aggressive expansion strategy in the country and signals its commitment to building a strong presence in the electric vehicle segment.
The company has already partnered with 13 dealer groups to establish 32 showrooms across 27 cities, covering major metros as well as emerging EV-friendly markets. VinFast also plans to open three more outlets before the end of 2025, taking the total to 35 dealerships. This widespread retail and service network will help the brand reach a broader audience as it begins local operations.

Both the VF 6 and VF 7 have been showcased across India in a nationwide roadshow, following their first appearance at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025 in New Delhi. The company has also been actively conducting road tests across multiple regions to prepare the SUVs for Indian roads and conditions.
The larger of the two, the VF 7, features a coupe-like silhouette, flush door handles, full-width LED tail lamp bar, and stylish 19-inch alloy wheels. It measures 4,545 mm in length, 1,890 mm in width, and 1,636 mm in height. The SUV is expected to be offered in two variants – a front-wheel-drive model priced around ₹25 lakh (ex-showroom), and a more powerful all-wheel-drive version expected to cost closer to ₹30 lakh.

In terms of performance, the VF 7 will come equipped with a 75.3 kWh battery. The base version delivers 201 hp and 309 Nm of torque with a WLTP-certified range of up to 451 km. Meanwhile, the Plus variant boosts output to 348 hp and 499 Nm, with a slightly reduced range of 431 km. Feature highlights include Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), a panoramic glass roof, and a large touchscreen infotainment system.

The smaller VF 6 is also geared to make a strong impression. It uses a 59.6 kWh battery pack mated to a single electric motor producing 204 hp and 310 Nm of torque. The electric SUV can sprint from 0–100 kmph in 8.89 seconds and offers a driving range of up to 480 km on a single charge, as per WLTP standards.
VinFast has already established a manufacturing base in Tuticorin, Tamil Nadu, which will support local assembly of these models. With both the VF 6 and VF 7 set to enter the Indian market soon, VinFast is positioning itself as a serious contender in the premium electric SUV space, offering competitive range, performance, and features.
