VinFast has opened pre-bookings for its VF 6 and VF 7 electric SUVs in India at ₹21,000. Locally assembled in Tamil Nadu, both EVs offer advanced features, up to 480 km range, and festive season launch plans.

VinFast has officially opened pre-bookings for its upcoming electric SUVs, the VF 6 and VF 7, in India. Customers can reserve either model starting today through the brand’s official website or by visiting any of its showrooms, with a fully refundable booking amount of ₹21,000. The public launch is scheduled for August, just in time for the festive season, with deliveries expected to follow shortly thereafter.
The Vietnamese EV brand, which debuted both models at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025 in New Delhi, is quickly expanding its footprint in India. It has already partnered with 13 dealer groups to establish 32 outlets across 27 cities. VinFast aims to grow its network to 35 dealerships by the end of this year. Both SUVs have also been showcased in a multi-city roadshow covering 11 key locations to raise brand awareness.
VinFast is assembling the VF 6 and VF 7 locally at its new manufacturing facility in Thoothukudi, Tamil Nadu. This move not only supports competitive pricing but also signals the company’s long-term commitment to India as a future hub for EV production. Public road testing of both models has been ongoing ahead of launch.

Among the two, the VF 7 stands out with a more dynamic, coupe-inspired profile. It features a sloping roofline, flush-fitting door handles, a connected LED tail light bar, and 19-inch alloy wheels. Dimensionally, it measures 4,545 mm long, 1,890 mm wide, and 1,636 mm tall. Under the hood, the VF 7 gets a 75.3 kWh battery pack producing 201 hp and 309 Nm of torque in its standard version. This setup offers a certified range of 451 km per charge. A more powerful Plus variant is also available, delivering 348 hp and 499 Nm of torque, albeit with a slightly lower range of 431 km.
The smaller VF 6 caters to families seeking everyday usability without sacrificing style or comfort. It is powered by a 59.6 kWh battery mated to a single electric motor producing 204 hp and 310 Nm of torque. It accelerates from 0 to 100 kmph in 8.89 seconds and offers a WLTP-certified range of up to 480 km on a single charge.
Both EVs come loaded with advanced features, including Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), panoramic sunroofs, wireless charging, connected car tech, and large infotainment touchscreens. The VF 7, in particular, emphasizes a more premium experience with its spacious cabin and modern amenities.
