Volvo’s flagship electric SUV, the EX90, has been honored with the prestigious 2025 World Luxury Car award at the New York International Auto Show. This accolade recognizes the EX90’s exceptional blend of design, performance, and technological innovation, positioning it ahead of notable contenders such as the Porsche Macan and Porsche Panamera.

The World Car Awards jury, comprising 96 automotive journalists from 30 countries, evaluated the Volvo EX90 through extensive test drives. The Volvo EX90 is built on the dedicated SPA2 platform, representing the brand’s commitment to electrification. As the electric counterpart to the XC90, it combines luxury, performance, and sustainability. Equipped with a 111 kWh battery, the EX90 offers a claimed WLTP range of up to 600 km in its top variant. Additionally, the EX90 supports bi-directional charging, enabling it to supply power to a home or other devices when needed.

Expressing pride in this achievement, Håkan Samuelsson, Chief Executive Officer of Volvo Cars, stated, “We’re pleased to see the EX90 get the recognition it truly deserves. It was up against some tough competition, but this award proves that the EX90 appeals to some of the most demanding customers across the world.”
