Kia EV6 Facelift Launched In India At Rs 65.90 Lakh

Kia EV6 has been launched in India, priced at ₹65.9 lakh (ex-showroom, pan-India). The new model is available in a single GT Line variant with an all-wheel drive (AWD) system and comes with several enhancements in design, performance, safety, and connectivity.

Next-Generation Battery and Performance

One of the key highlights of the updated EV6 is its new 84-kWh battery, which offers a certified driving range of 663 kilometers as per ARAI’s MIDC test cycle. This marks a notable improvement in long-distance capability for electric vehicles in India. The EV6 generates 325 PS of power and 605 Nm of torque, offering a powerful and dynamic drive. It also supports ultra-fast charging, allowing the battery to charge from 10% to 80% in just 18 minutes using a 350kW DC fast charger.

ADAS 2.0 Brings Enhanced Safety

Kia has equipped the EV6 with its latest ADAS 2.0 (Advanced Driver Assistance System), which includes 27 safety and driver assistance functions. Among them are five newly introduced autonomous features aimed at improving safety in real-world driving conditions. These include:

  • Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist (FCA 2.0) – Junction Turning and Crossing
  • FCA 2.0 – Lane Change Assist and Evasive Steering Assist
  • Lane Following Assist (LFA 2.0)

These features are designed to help avoid potential collisions at intersections, during lane changes, and in emergency steering situations, while also keeping the vehicle centered within its lane.

Design Tweaks and Interior Upgrades

Visually, the EV6 has received 15 updates over the outgoing model. The front design is more aggressive, reflecting Kia’s ‘Opposites United’ design philosophy. It features a GT Line-specific bumper, Star Map Graphic Connected DRLs, and sequential turn indicators. The rear gets updated LED combination lamps, while 19-inch aerodynamic alloy wheels complete the sportier look.

Connectivity and Smart Features

The EV6 also gets a tech boost with Kia Connect 2.0, which now offers over 100 connected features. A key addition is Kia Connect Diagnostics, which allows remote health checks and vehicle status updates. Over-the-air (OTA) software updates are now supported for 34 ECU controllers, eliminating the need for frequent service visits.

The car also debuts Digital Key 2.0 using Ultra-Wideband (UWB) technology. This feature enables owners to lock, unlock, and start the car using a smartphone without physically taking it out. Keys can also be shared digitally with others via text message.
