2025 Kawasaki Ninja 650 Launched in India

Kawasaki has officially launched the 2025 version of its popular middleweight sport touring motorcycle, the Ninja 650, in India. The updated model arrives with a fresh colour option and a marginal price increase, while maintaining the same mechanical package as its predecessor.

The 2025 Ninja 650 is now priced at Rs. 7.27 lakh (ex-showroom), which makes it Rs. 11,000 more expensive than the outgoing version. The key highlight of the new model is its updated Lime Green colour scheme, featuring a bolder design with streaks of white, yellow, and black — a notable refresh over the earlier livery. Despite the changes in aesthetics, the motorcycle’s technical specifications remain unchanged.

At its core, the Ninja 650 continues to be powered by a 649cc, liquid-cooled, parallel-twin engine delivering 68PS at 8,000rpm and 64Nm of torque at 6,700rpm. This engine is mated to a six-speed transmission. Built on a steel trellis frame, the motorcycle features a telescopic front fork and a preload-adjustable horizontal back-link monoshock at the rear. Braking duties are managed by dual 300mm front discs and a 220mm single rear disc.

The motorcycle tips the scales at 196kg (kerb weight) and rides on 17-inch alloy wheels. It also continues to offer advanced features such as Kawasaki Traction Control (KTRC) with two riding modes, a full-colour TFT display with Bluetooth-enabled smartphone connectivity via the RIDEOLOGY THE APP, and LED headlamps.

Passenger comfort has also been enhanced with a thicker rear seat, while the revised windshield is now more upright and integrated into the upper cowl for improved wind protection and a sportier profile. The new model is equipped with Dunlop Sportmax Roadsport 2 tyres for better handling characteristics.
