BYD Seal 2025 launched in India with new features like Frequency Selective Dampers, Disus-C damping system, a panoramic glass roof, and an upgraded intelligent cockpit, starting at Rs 41 lakh (ex-showroom).
BYD has introduced the updated 2025 Seal electric sedan in India, with prices starting at Rs 41 lakh (ex-showroom). The new model brings several key upgrades focused on enhancing ride quality, cabin comfort, and smart features.
Commenting on the launch, Rajeev Chauhan, Head of Electric Passenger Vehicles (EPV) Business at BYD India, said, “The BYD SEAL has struck a meaningful chord with Indian customers. With the MY 2025 edition, we’ve focused on refining key aspects that matter most — ride comfort, cabin experience, and smart convenience.”
Ride Comfort and Performance
The 2025 BYD Seal receives key mechanical upgrades, including the addition of Frequency Selective Dampers and BYD’s Disus-C intelligent damping system to improve ride quality and handling. It can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.8 seconds, maintaining its high-performance credentials. The sedan uses a Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) battery, which is significantly lighter than conventional systems and has a lower self-discharge rate. BYD claims the battery can last up to 15 years.
In addition, the Seal is equipped with iTAC (Intelligence Torque Adaptation Control) technology. This system adjusts the driving torque of the front and rear axles dynamically, providing an improved driving experience, particularly under different road conditions.
Interior Features
The 2025 Seal features a new silver-plated dimming canopy and a standard power-operated sunshade, enhancing the cabin’s premium feel. The large panoramic glass roof adds a sense of space with 1.9 m² of viewing area and offers over 99% ultraviolet protection. The air conditioning system has also been upgraded with a larger compressor and a new purification module.
The BYD Advanced Intelligent Cockpit follows an “Ocean Aesthetics” concept, creating a relaxing and vibrant atmosphere. The ergonomic layout and high-quality craftsmanship enhance the cabin’s premium feel.
Technology and Safety
The Seal is equipped with a 15.6-inch rotating screen that offers an interactive experience with ultra-responsive 1080P high resolution. The car also features wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto as standard across all variants. The BYD Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) enhances driving safety, offering intelligent driving systems and multi-sensor layouts for a more reliable environment perception.

Prices for the 2025 BYD Seal start at Rs 41 lakh (ex-showroom). The complete price list is as follows:
- BYD Seal Dynamic (RWD) – 61.44 kWh battery – Rs. 41,00,000
- BYD Seal Premium (RWD) – 82.56 kWh battery – Rs. 45,70,000
- BYD Seal Performance (AWD) – 82.56 kWh battery – Rs. 53,15,000
The BYD Seal is available in four color options: Atlantis Gray, Cosmos Black, Aurora White, and Shark Gray. Since its Indian debut in March 2024, the Seal has gained traction among customers. The Seal now joins the brand’s Indian lineup, which includes the BYD Atto 3 crossover, BYD eMax 7 MPV, and the recently launched BYD Sealion 7.
