Lava has launched its latest budget smartphone, the Yuva Star 2, in India. As part of the brand’s Yuva series, the new device is positioned as the successor to the Yuva Star from last year. It comes with a 6.75-inch HD+ LCD display and is powered by an unspecified octa-core Unisoc chipset. The phone is available in two colours — Radiant Black and Sparkling Ivory — and is already available across retail outlets.

Price and Availability

The Lava Yuva Star 2 is priced at Rs 6,499 for the lone 4GB RAM + 64GB storage variant. It can be purchased through offline retail stores across the country.

Specifications

The Yuva Star 2 features a 6.75-inch HD+ LCD display with a 60Hz refresh rate and 2.5D glass protection. It runs on Android 14 Go Edition and comes equipped with 4GB of LPDDR4X RAM, which can be virtually expanded by another 4GB using unused storage, taking the total to 8GB. Storage is expandable up to 512GB via a microSD card.

Powering the device is a 5,000mAh battery that supports 10W charging through a USB Type-C port. Other features include a 3.5mm headphone jack, FM Radio, bottom-ported speaker, and anonymous call recording. Connectivity options include dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, and USB Type-C.

The phone has a dust- and water-resistant design and offers a clean software experience with no pre-installed bloatware. Lava is also offering a one-year warranty and free doorstep service for Yuva Star 2 users.
