Triumph Scrambler 400 XC Teased Ahead Of Launch

Triumph has released the first official teaser of the upcoming Scrambler 400 XC, a more off-road-ready iteration of the Scrambler 400 X. The teaser confirms the bike’s launch is just around the corner, and select dealerships have already started accepting unofficial bookings. The expected price is around ₹2.94 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).

The Scrambler 400 XC will offer more capability and ruggedness over the standard 400 X. Key updates include tubeless cross-spoke wheels, a body-coloured beak-style front fender, visor, and enhanced engine protection courtesy of an aluminium sump guard and upper-lower crash bars. These additions aim to boost its off-road functionality while also giving it a more purposeful appearance.

Visually, the bike will get a fresh bold yellow paint scheme with speed-block graphics, helping it stand out from the standard version. While the overall design remains largely similar, these cosmetic and protective elements give the Scrambler 400 XC a stronger visual identity.

Mechanically, the motorcycle remains unchanged, powered by the same 398cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine producing 39.5 bhp and 37.5 Nm of torque. This motor is paired with a six-speed gearbox. While the Scrambler 400 X doesn’t offer a quickshifter, even as an option, there is hope Triumph may offer it on the XC to enhance the overall riding experience.

The exact launch timeline is yet to be announced, but the teaser suggests an official debut is imminent. More details are expected in the coming days.
