realme GT 7 series launching on May 27 with 7000mAh battery and 120W fast charging. Also features new battery tech detailed in a white paper with TÜV Rheinland.

realme has officially confirmed that the upcoming GT 7 series will come equipped with a large 7000mAh battery and support 120W fast charging—marking the first time this combination is being offered in the lineup.
Alongside this announcement, realme also released a white paper titled “The Future of Battery Tech”, created in collaboration with TÜV Rheinland. The document discusses current challenges in smartphone battery systems, including issues like material degradation and limited energy density that often affect charging speeds and battery lifespan.
In the paper, realme outlines its approach to overcoming these limitations through new battery architectures and better management systems. Some of the key technologies mentioned include a 320W fast charging solution, which, according to the brand, can fully charge a device in just 4 minutes and 30 seconds. This is achieved using magnetic-coupling DCX step-down technology.
The white paper also talks about integrating multi-cell battery structures, AI-based battery management systems (BMS), and improved heat dissipation methods. These features are expected to enhance both safety and durability over time.
