Kia India is set to announce the prices of its new premium MPV, the Carens Clavis, on May 23, 2025. Ahead of its official launch, bookings have already begun at authorised dealerships and online platforms with a token amount of Rs 25,000. Customer deliveries are expected to begin shortly after the launch, either on the same day or by June 2025.
Variants and Powertrain Options
The Clavis will be available in seven variants – HTE, HTE(O), HTK, HTK+, HTK+(O), HTX, and HTX+. It shares its engine options with the Seltos SUV, including a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol (114bhp), a 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol (157bhp), and a 1.5-litre turbo diesel (114bhp). Gearbox choices include a 6-speed manual as standard, a 6-speed iMT, a 7-speed DCT for the turbo-petrol, and a 6-speed torque converter automatic for the diesel.
Updated Design and Exterior Highlights

Visually, the Clavis gets a refreshed design with a new closed-off front grille, cube-shaped LED headlamps with integrated DRLs, and a revised front bumper. The rear now sports connected LED tail lamps, while dual-tone 17-inch crystal-cut alloy wheels and metal-finished skid plates enhance its road presence.
Interior and Feature Highlights
Inside, the Clavis features a 26.62-inch connected panoramic screen combining the digital driver’s display and infotainment unit. The cabin has also been updated with roof-mounted air vents, one-touch electric tumble second-row seats, seat-back air purifiers, and a walk-in lever for easier third-row access.

Premium features include ventilated front seats, 4-way powered driver’s seat, leatherette upholstery, panoramic sunroof, 64-colour ambient lighting, an 8-speaker Bose sound system, and fully automatic climate control. Users can also switch between infotainment and AC controls with a dedicated toggle button system.

Additional features like remote auto up/down windows, spot lamps on rear doors, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, and support for over-the-air updates make the Clavis a well-rounded offering in its segment.
Safety and ADAS Tech
On the safety front, the Clavis packs in six airbags, ESC, hill assist, hill descent control, tyre pressure monitoring system, rear parking sensors, all-wheel disc brakes, and ISOFIX mounts. It also comes equipped with front parking sensors, electronic parking brake with auto hold, 360-degree camera, blind view monitor, and dual-camera dashcam.
Notably, the MPV offers Level 2 ADAS functions including adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, autonomous emergency braking, and auto high beam.
