Ray-Ban Meta Smart Glasses have launched in India starting at Rs. 29,900. Featuring a 12MP camera, Meta AI, music playback, and voice control, the smart glasses offer hands-free functionality and real-time translation.

Ray-Ban, in partnership with EssilorLuxottica and Meta, has introduced its new Meta Smart Glasses in India. These next-gen wearable devices combine style with technology, offering users features like photo and video capture, hands-free voice control, music playback, and real-time translations — all powered by Meta’s AI assistant.
Key Features and Specifications

The glasses are equipped with a 12MP ultra-wide camera built into the frame, accompanied by an LED indicator for recording. Users can capture high-resolution images and record 1080p videos up to 60 seconds. The glasses also support first-person livestreaming on Facebook and Instagram, using a five-microphone system for better voice capture.

Running on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon AR1 Gen1 chip, the glasses feature 32GB of built-in storage. Battery life is rated at up to 4 hours per charge, with the included charging case extending usage to 36 hours. The glasses also come with an IPX4 rating for splash resistance.
AI Integration
Meta AI is a core part of the experience. Users can activate it with a “Hey Meta” command to perform actions such as identifying songs with Shazam, controlling music playback, asking contextual questions, or launching live speech translations between English and languages like Spanish, French, or Italian.

Users can also interact with the environment through the camera feed — asking questions and getting instant feedback. Upcoming updates will allow sending and receiving DMs, photos, and even video/audio calls through Instagram, WhatsApp, Messenger, or the phone’s default messaging app.
Audio and App Compatibility
The smart glasses support major music streaming apps like Spotify, Apple Music, and Amazon Music. With voice commands, users can search for specific tracks, playlists, or artists and enjoy playback through the open-ear speaker system.
Pricing and Availability
The Ray-Ban Meta Smart Glasses are available in India starting at Rs. 29,900. The collection includes Wayfarer and Skyler designs in Shiny Black, Matte Black, and Chalk Grey finishes. Prices vary by model, going up to Rs. 35,700 for the premium variants.
Pre-orders are live on Ray-Ban.com, with official sales beginning May 19 through online channels and top optical stores nationwide.
