2026 Ducati Diavel V4 RS details leaked via U.S. NHTSA documents. Expected to feature a Panigale V4-derived engine, lighter components, and limited production.

2026 Ducati Diavel V4 RS Leaked Ahead of Launch

Ducati appears to be developing a more performance-oriented version of its power cruiser, the Diavel. Likely to be called the Diavel V4 RS, this new variant is expected to feature the Desmosedici Stradale V4 engine, similar to the units used in the Panigale and Streetfighter models.

Details about the Diavel V4 RS emerged from a leaked document filed with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) in the US. The same document also confirmed future updates for the Monster and DesertX models, which will receive an 890cc engine. Notably, the Diavel V4 RS is mentioned twice in the document, suggesting a planned launch sometime in 2026.

Higher Performance Expected

The upcoming Diavel V4 RS is likely to deliver a notable performance bump over the current model. For reference, the Multistrada V4 RS, which uses the same V4 engine, produces 180 hp and 118 Nm of torque. This is higher than the standard Multistrada’s 170 hp and 124 Nm. A similar tuning approach on the Diavel V4 RS would make it significantly more powerful than the standard Diavel V4, which weighs 236 kg. Ducati may also focus on reducing weight by using lighter components to further improve performance.

Limited and Numbered Production

Ducati has previously used the RS badge on two models – the Monster S4Rs and the Multistrada V4 RS. Both were limited-run models, and the upcoming Diavel V4 RS is also expected to follow suit with individually numbered units.

With its launch expected in 2026, the Diavel V4 RS will likely be a high-spec, limited-production variant aimed at enthusiasts looking for a more aggressive and track-capable power cruiser.
