Mercedes-Maybach has officially taken the wraps off the 2026 SL 680 Monogram Series, marking a new chapter for the brand with its first-ever two-seater model. This latest addition blends open-top roadster styling with the brand’s signature focus on luxury, refinement, and craftsmanship.

The SL 680 Monogram Series builds on the legacy of the SL while introducing several Maybach-exclusive design and engineering elements. Key highlights include a newly designed front bumper, illuminated Maybach-specific grille with engraved lettering, and the chrome signature star positioned on the bonnet. The roadster also stands out with a new contrast-color bonnet, Maybach-patterned insulated soft-top, and rose gold accents in the headlamps.

Two distinct exterior themes will be offered: Red Ambiance and White Ambiance, both finished in a two-tone paint scheme. These specially curated design concepts are matched with 21-inch Maybach 5-hole forged wheels, adding to the overall visual presence. Inside, the cabin is wrapped in MANUFAKTUR Crystal White Nappa leather with new Maybach-specific stitching and detailing, creating an exclusive atmosphere throughout the interior.

Under the hood, the SL 680 is powered by a 4.0-liter V8 biturbo engine producing 577 hp and 590 lb-ft of torque. It comes mated to a 9G-TRONIC 9-speed automatic transmission and features the 4MATIC+ fully variable all-wheel drive system. Mercedes estimates a 0–60 mph time of 4.0 seconds and a top speed of 161 mph (electronically limited). To maintain Maybach levels of comfort, the suspension and exhaust system have been specifically tuned for a smoother and quieter driving experience, even with the top down.

Other details include the Maybach logo across various parts of the interior and exterior, including the steering wheel, backrests, and grille.

The 2026 Mercedes-Maybach SL 680 Monogram Series is expected to arrive at dealerships next year.
