2025 Tata Altroz Facelift: Everything You Need to Know Before May 22 Launch

Tata Motors is all set to introduce the much-awaited Altroz facelift on May 22, 2025. This marks the first significant update for the brand’s premium hatchback since its debut, and the changes are expected to give it a stronger presence in a highly competitive segment. The updated Altroz brings a sleeker, sportier design, along with new technology and enhanced safety equipment—while retaining its familiar powertrains.

On the design front, the Altroz facelift looks noticeably sharper and more dynamic than the current model. The new design introduces a more aerodynamic front end, highlighted by twin LED headlamps, LED DRLs, and LED fog lamps under the Luminate lighting system. The addition of flush door handles enhances the car’s side profile and contributes to improved airflow. A redesigned 3D front grille, R16 diamond-cut alloy wheels, and a new set of LED connected tail lamps give the hatchback a much sportier and modern look. The 90° wide-opening doors continue to be a standout convenience feature.

Inside, the cabin has received a significant tech upgrade. One of the key highlights is the new 10.2-inch Ultra View HD digital instrument cluster, which includes features like real-time map navigation and a blind spot monitor for added safety. The infotainment system is also updated with a 26.03 cm HD touchscreen by HARMAN™, offering wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, multiple AudioWorX sound modes, and a premium 8-speaker setup with 4 tweeters and 4 speakers.

Further enhancing the premium feel are updates like the new Grand Prestigia three-tone dashboard, ambient lighting, and metallic inner door handles. Comfort and convenience features include a voice-assisted electric sunroof, automatic climate control, a cooled glovebox, wireless smartphone charging, rear AC vents, and Executive Lounge rear seats with extended under-thigh support. A Centraluxe console with armrest, cruise control, and iRA connected car technology with remote access and 24/7 roadside assistance round off a well-equipped interior.

In terms of safety, the Altroz facelift sets a new benchmark in the segment. It now comes with six airbags as standard across all variants, along with a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS). Other key safety features include the blind spot monitor, improved illumination from the LED headlamps, and the strong structural build that Tata cars are known for. With these upgrades, Tata has made sure the Altroz continues to deliver comprehensive occupant protection.
