JSW MG Motor India has increased prices for the MG Comet EV by up to Rs 35,700 and the MG Gloster SUV by up to Rs 1.51 lakh in May 2025. The Comet EV remains one of the most affordable electric cars, while Gloster continues its premium SUV legacy.

JSW MG Motor India has adjusted the pricing of two key models in its lineup—the compact Comet EV and the flagship Gloster SUV—effective immediately from May 2025. The price increase reflects MG’s ongoing efforts to maintain its product lineup amid rising costs and upcoming launches.
MG Comet EV Price Hike

The MG Comet EV, known as one of the most affordable electric vehicles in the market, has seen a price increase of up to Rs 35,700 across its variants. Post revision, the Comet EV’s price range starts at Rs 7.35 lakh and goes up to Rs 9.84 lakh (ex-showroom).

- The base Executive variant faces the highest hike of Rs 35,700, pushing its price to Rs 7.36 lakh.
- The Excite and Excite FC variants have increased by Rs 16,000 and Rs 4,000 respectively.
- Other trims like Exclusive, Exclusive FC, and Blackstorm FC see a uniform increase of Rs 5,300.
- The special 100-Year Edition remains unaffected by this change.
The Comet EV features a 17.3 kWh battery pack delivering a claimed range of approximately 230 km on a full charge. It is powered by a rear-mounted electric motor producing 41 bhp and 110 Nm of torque. The MY2025 update brought added features such as a reverse parking camera, electrically foldable ORVMs, leatherette seats, and a four-speaker audio system.
MG Gloster Price Hike
Ahead of the much-anticipated launch of the MG Majestor SUV, which is expected to sit above the Gloster in the portfolio, MG Motor India has increased the prices of the Gloster SUV by up to Rs 1.51 lakh.

- The base Sharp 2.0 Turbo 2WD 7-seater variant has received the highest hike of Rs 1.51 lakh, with its new price now at Rs 41.07 lakh (ex-showroom).
- Other variants, including the Savvy Turbo 4X2 and Savvy Twin Turbo 4X4, have seen a uniform price rise of Rs 1.5 lakh.
- The top-end variant is now priced at Rs 45.53 lakh (ex-showroom).
