OPPO A5x 5G launched in India with 6.67-inch 120Hz display, 6000mAh battery, MIL-STD-810H durability, and IP65 rating. Priced at Rs. 13,999.
OPPO has officially launched the A5x 5G in India as its latest budget 5G smartphone, following the A3x 5G. The device packs several upgrades in design, durability, and battery, while maintaining an affordable price tag of Rs. 13,999 for the 4GB + 128GB variant.
Display and Design
The OPPO A5x 5G sports a 6.67-inch HD+ LCD display with a 120Hz refresh rate, offering smooth visuals for daily use. The screen also reaches up to 1,000 nits peak brightness, improving visibility under bright sunlight. In terms of design, the phone is slim at 7.99mm and weighs 193 grams.
Durability is a major highlight here. The phone is MIL-STD-810H certified, ensuring resistance to heat, moisture, and shock. It also carries an IP65 rating for dust and water protection—an upgrade over the predecessor’s IP54 rating. The new 360° Armour Body structure combines reinforced glass and a high-strength alloy frame, delivering 160% better impact resistance.
The phone comes in two colour options: Midnight Blue and Laser White.
Performance and Software
Under the hood, the A5x 5G is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset. It is paired with 4GB RAM and 128GB UFS 2.2 storage, with support for 4GB virtual RAM expansion and up to 1TB microSD card.
It runs Android 15 with ColorOS 15 out of the box, offering the latest software features and improved system performance.
Camera
On the camera front, the phone features a 32MP rear camera with LED flash and a 5MP front camera for selfies and video calls.

Battery and Charging
One of the key features of the A5x 5G is its massive 6000mAh battery. It supports 45W SuperVOOC fast charging, and OPPO claims it can go from 0 to 30% in 21 minutes and reach 100% in just 1 hour and 24 minutes. The battery is rated to retain over 80% capacity after 1,700 charge cycles, promising up to five years of daily use without significant degradation.
Connectivity and Security
The phone includes 5G (SA/NSA) support, dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi (2.4GHz/5GHz), Bluetooth 5.1, GPS + GLONASS, and USB Type-C. It also comes with a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for quick and secure access.

The OPPO A5x 5G is priced at Rs. 13,999 and will be available from May 25 through Amazon, Flipkart, OPPO Store, and retail outlets.
