realme’s upcoming GT 7 smartphone has made headlines by earning a Guinness World Record for the “Longest Marathon Watching Films/Movies on a Mobile Phone.” The device successfully powered through 24 hours of non-stop movie playback, a feat officially certified by a Guinness World Records representative on May 23, 2025.

This achievement was part of realme’s “Endless Power Journey” campaign, held aboard a European cruise that began in Rome, Italy. The marathon movie session started at 9:30 PM IST on May 22, 2025, livestreamed from Shenzhen, China, and hit the 24-hour milestone exactly at 9:30 PM IST on May 23.

The company credits the GT 7’s 7000mAh battery and 120W fast charging support for enabling this performance. The battery setup has also been awarded a 5-Star Battery Certification by TÜV Rheinland, adding further credibility to its endurance.

The realme GT 7 series is set to launch globally and in the Indian market on May 27, 2025, with a launch event scheduled in Paris, France. Post-launch, the GT 7 and GT 7T will be available for purchase via realme’s official website, Amazon.in, and other retail platforms.
