Hero MotoCorp is preparing to expand its electric scooter lineup with the upcoming Vida VX2, which is set to debut on July 1, 2025. Ahead of its official launch, the VX2 has been spotted undisguised at a Vida showroom, giving a clear idea of what to expect from this new model. Interestingly, the VX2 looks quite similar to the Vida Z, a scooter that was earlier showcased at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo.

What the Spy Shots Reveal?

Recent images show the VX2 wearing a matte yellow finish along with a ‘VX2 Plus’ badge on its side, suggesting multiple variants will be available. The scooter retains the same design as the Vida Z, featuring familiar body lines, LED lighting, and the overall shape. These visual clues confirm that the VX2 is not an all-new scooter but rather a renamed version of the Z.

From the photos, it’s clear the VX2 uses 12-inch dual-tone alloy wheels, much like the ones on the Vida V2. It also includes features like a digital dashboard, a joystick-style control on the left switchgear, an SOS switch, and a conventional key ignition instead of the keyless start available in the V2 range.

Compared to the more premium V1 and V2 models, the VX2 has a cleaner and simpler look. It comes with a single-piece stepped seat rather than a split-seat design. The instrument console appears smaller but might still offer basic connectivity, especially on higher trims. However, a touchscreen unit, which is standard on the V2, is unlikely to be available on the VX2.

Despite being a budget-friendly option, the VX2 doesn’t completely skip on features. It includes LED projector headlamps, sequential LED indicators, and a front disc brake, giving it a premium appearance. Suspension duties are handled by a telescopic fork up front and dual rear shock absorbers.

The presence of the ‘Plus’ badge on the scooter indicates that Vida might follow the same Lite, Plus, and Pro trim structure seen in the V2 lineup. Currently, the Vida V2 starts at ₹85,300 and goes up to ₹1.15 lakh (ex-showroom, including subsidy). With a simpler build and fewer features, the VX2 could start at around ₹70,000 (ex-showroom), making it a more accessible option for buyers.

By offering the VX2 at a lower price point, Hero aims to attract more customers looking for affordable electric mobility. Once launched, the VX2 will rival models like the TVS iQube, Bajaj Chetak, Ola S1, and the Ather Rizta.

Hero MotoCorp has officially scheduled the VX2’s launch for July 1, 2025.
