Tata Motors has officially released the crash test video for the 2025 Altroz facelift. While the complete Bharat NCAP test results are still awaited, the footage indicates that the updated hatchback is built to continue Tata’s reputation for safety. The Altroz has already proven itself once before—back in 2020, the earlier version of the car earned a 5-star rating in Global NCAP crash tests, making it one of the safest hatchbacks in the country at the time.

In the new video shared on Tata’s YouTube channel, the 2025 Altroz is shown undergoing a frontal offset deformable barrier test at a speed of 64 km/h. The structure appears to hold up well, with stable A-pillars and a solid underbody noted during impact. The footage also confirms timely deployment of all six airbags, which include front, side, and curtain units. Additionally, the car went through a side mobile barrier test conducted at 50 km/h. Most of the crash energy was absorbed by the crumple zones, reducing the impact on the test dummies.

The new Altroz facelift uses Tata’s Diamond Safety Shield Structure, which includes the use of high-strength steel, stronger structural joints, and engineering improvements to deflect crash energy away from the cabin. Seatbelts are equipped with pre-tensioners, load limiters, and crash-locking tongues for added protection. Other key safety features in the updated Altroz include electronic stability control, hill hold assist, SOS emergency calling function, and a 360-degree camera system.
