Jeep Cherokee 2025 is set to debut in late 2025 with a brand-new design and a hybrid powertrain.

Jeep has officially confirmed that the all-new Cherokee SUV will make its debut in late 2025. After the previous-generation model was discontinued in 2023, this marks the long-anticipated return of the nameplate—now in its fifth generation and built on an all-new foundation.
The next Cherokee will ride on Stellantis’ advanced STLA Large platform, a flexible architecture that supports hybrid, internal combustion, and all-electric powertrains. Jeep has already announced that a hybrid version will be part of the lineup, with petrol and full-electric options also expected down the line.

Jeep has offered an early glimpse of the upcoming Cherokee through a teaser image, giving us the first look at its new design direction. The SUV gets a tougher and more modern appearance, drawing clear inspiration from recent models like the Wagoneer S and the updated Compass. At the front, it keeps the familiar 7-slot grille that’s a Jeep trademark, now paired with new LED headlamps that feature a sharp, signature lighting pattern. The hood seems more level and broad compared to earlier versions, contributing to its rugged presence. Large alloy wheels further add to the SUV’s bold character. While the rear hasn’t been revealed yet, it’s expected to follow a styling theme similar to the back end of the new Compass.

“The all-new Jeep Cherokee headlines our efforts to deliver more product, innovation, choice and standard content to customers than ever before,” said Jeep CEO Bob Broderdorf. He added that the model will be competitively priced and positioned between the Compass and the Grand Cherokee in the brand’s SUV range.

With its return, the Cherokee is expected to play a key role in Jeep’s mainstream lineup, especially in the crowded midsize SUV segment. The combination of new technology, flexible powertrain choices, and updated styling puts it in a strong position to attract both returning and new buyers.
More details, including exact specifications and interior features, are expected closer to the SUV’s launch.
