Skoda Auto India is gearing up to launch the second-generation Kodiaq SUV on April 17, 2025. Unveiled globally in 2023 and showcased at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025, the new Kodiaq brings significant updates in design, technology, and performance to the Indian market.

Key exterior updates include a sculpted bonnet, hexagonal grille with vertical slats, sleek split matrix LED headlamps, redesigned alloy wheels ranging from 17 to 20 inches, and a reworked rear profile with an extended roof spoiler and integrated diffuser.

Inside, the Kodiaq boasts a completely redesigned dashboard featuring a free-standing 13.5-inch touchscreen infotainment system, rotary dials with embedded screens, and vertically stacked air vents. Additional features include wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a 10-inch digital instrument cluster with a head-up display, 15W wireless smartphone charging with active cooling, ambient lighting, and Skoda’s signature umbrella compartments in the front doors.

Powertrain and Performance (Expected)

Under the hood, the Kodiaq will be powered by a 2.0-liter TSI turbo-petrol engine producing 190 hp and 320 Nm of torque, paired with a 7-speed DSG automatic transmission. The SUV will also feature Skoda’s Dynamic Chassis Control and an all-wheel-drive (AWD) option to maintain stability during diverse driving conditions.

Variants and Expected Pricing

The new Kodiaq will be available in two trims: Sportline and Laurin & Klement (L&K). The sportier Kodiaq RS is expected to enter the Indian market by the end of 2025. Pricing is anticipated to start around ₹45 lakh (ex-showroom), positioning it competitively against rivals like the Toyota Fortuner and MG Gloster.
