2025 Kawasaki Z900 arrives in India with refreshed styling, new ride-by-wire tech, cruise control, IMU-assisted safety features, and a price of ₹9.52 lakh (ex-showroom).

Kawasaki has introduced the 2025 Z900 in India at ₹9.52 lakh (ex-showroom), offering a range of significant updates. The latest iteration of this popular middleweight naked motorcycle features sharper styling, upgraded electronics, and new rider-focused features, all while preserving the strong performance and character that have long made it a favorite among enthusiasts.
Visually, the new Z900 continues to embrace Kawasaki’s aggressive ‘Sugomi’ design theme but now looks sharper and more modern. The LED headlamp is completely redesigned and takes inspiration from the smaller Z500, giving the front end a more striking appearance. The bike also gets a reworked fuel tank with muscular extensions, and a new LED tail-lamp adds to its bold stance. Subtle changes to the seat design have improved cushioning for better comfort, without affecting seat height, thanks to revised frame rails.

The biggest changes, however, come in the electronics department. The 2025 model now features ride-by-wire technology, unlocking a set of advanced rider aids. This includes cruise control and a bi-directional quickshifter, both of which add convenience during daily commutes and long rides. The Z900 also gets a new 5-inch TFT color display with Bluetooth connectivity. The interface is carried over from the Ninja 1000SX and is paired with updated switchgear for easier operation.

Safety and performance are further enhanced with the addition of a 5-axis IMU that enables cornering ABS and traction control, giving riders more confidence, especially during spirited riding. Power and ride modes are also part of the electronics package, offering greater control in varying road conditions.

While the chassis and engine architecture remain unchanged, that’s not a drawback. The 948cc inline-four engine continues to deliver smooth and responsive performance and is now updated to meet Euro 5+ emission norms. Output figures remain impressive at 125hp and 98.6Nm, paired with a six-speed gearbox that’s now aided by the quickshifter.

Mechanical updates include improved braking hardware. The Z900 now uses radially-mounted 4-piston Nissin calipers on the front, replacing the older axial setup, along with dual 300mm discs. Tyres have also been upgraded to Dunlop Sportmax Q5A, offering better grip and overall performance than the outgoing model’s Roadsport 2 units.
Available in two new color schemes—black with green accents and black with red highlights—the new Z900 now carries a slight premium of ₹14,000 over the previous version. However, the price bump is justified by the comprehensive updates that significantly boost the bike’s appeal.
