Nothing Phone (3) Launch on July 1: Expected Specs, Design Changes, and More

Nothing has officially confirmed the launch date for its much-anticipated Phone (3). The new model will debut on July 1 at a launch event in London, and the company has already begun sending out invitations. With early teasers and social media posts stirring interest, the upcoming smartphone is shaping up to be a significant evolution in the brand’s product lineup.

A New Direction: Glyph Interface Likely Dropped

In what may be a bold design move, Nothing appears to be moving away from its signature Glyph Interface, the LED-based notification system seen on the back of its previous phones. A teaser shared by the brand included the statement, “We killed the Glyph Interface,” fueling speculation that the Phone (3) could adopt a new rear panel design with a dot matrix pattern instead. This signals a potential shift in Nothing’s visual identity, marking a departure from one of its most recognizable features.

Expected Performance and Features

Under the hood, the Nothing Phone (3) is rumoured to be powered by a Snapdragon 8-series processor, most likely the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, which would deliver a significant performance jump over the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 used in the Phone (2). This upgrade positions the new model to better compete in the upper mid-range to flagship category.

The display is expected to be a 6.77-inch AMOLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate, offering smooth visuals for gaming and content consumption. On the camera front, the phone is said to come equipped with a triple rear camera setup, all featuring 50MP sensors, likely aimed at improving photo versatility and overall camera performance.

Powering the device could be a 5,000mAh battery, which should offer all-day usage even with heavy workloads. The Nothing OS 3.0, based on Android 15, is expected to debut with the Phone (3). The updated software is likely to focus on battery efficiency improvements and offer a cleaner, more refined user interface, enhancing the overall experience.
