Nothing Phone 3 is set to launch on July 1 with a new dual-tone rear panel design, ditching the signature Glyph Interface. It will be available on Flipkart and may feature a flagship chipset and triple rear cameras.

Nothing is gearing up to launch its next smartphone, the Nothing Phone 3, on July 1 in India and global markets. Ahead of the official unveiling, the UK-based brand led by Carl Pei has teased the phone’s rear panel, confirming a major shift in design. The teaser image, shared on social media, indicates that the company is moving away from its signature Glyph Interface — a feature that had become a defining visual element of previous models.
The new teaser, captioned “ultra-precise engineering,” offers a partial look at the rear design of the Phone 3. It reveals a dual-tone finish with visible lines and panel cuts, suggesting a more industrial and refined aesthetic. With this move, Nothing is officially moving past the Glyph interface, which previously used LED lighting on the back for visual notifications and distinct styling.

This change marks a significant design departure for the brand, as the Glyph Interface was central to the identity of the Nothing Phone 1 and Phone 2. It helped the phones stand out in a crowded market where most devices offered similar aesthetics. Removing it hints at a broader design overhaul that may appeal to a different set of users.

Nothing Phone 3: What to Expect
Set to go on sale via Flipkart in India, the Nothing Phone 3 is expected to feature a flagship chipset and could come with a battery larger than 5,000mAh. Rumours also point to a triple rear camera system, including a periscope telephoto lens — a first for the brand. These upgrades position the Phone 3 as a more premium offering compared to its predecessors.
While exact specifications are still under wraps, Carl Pei has hinted at a significant price jump. The Phone 3 is expected to be priced around GBP 800 (approximately Rs. 90,000), more than double the launch price of the Phone 2, which started at Rs. 44,999 for the 8GB + 128GB variant.

CMF by Nothing Expands Lineup
In parallel, Nothing’s sub-brand CMF recently introduced the Phone 2 Pro as a more affordable alternative. This budget-friendly model features a triple-camera setup, a 5,000mAh battery, IP54 water resistance, and up to 256GB storage. Notably, it also sports a redesigned removable back panel, adding a practical touch for users who prefer easier hardware access.
While the CMF Phone 2 Pro caters to budget-conscious buyers, the Nothing Phone 3 seems focused on delivering a flagship experience with a bold new design approach. Whether users will embrace the removal of the Glyph Interface remains to be seen, but the brand’s decision clearly signals a new direction.
As anticipation builds, more information on the Nothing Phone 3 is expected to be revealed in the coming days.
