Google has launched Scheduled Actions in the Gemini app, allowing Pro, Ultra, and select Workspace users to automate routine tasks like email summaries, blog ideas, and more.
Google is making its Gemini app more personal and proactive with the introduction of Scheduled Actions, a feature designed to help users automate recurring tasks and receive personalized updates without needing to prompt the AI every time. Announced during Google I/O, this update is now rolling out to users with Google AI Pro or Ultra subscriptions, as well as eligible Google Workspace business and education accounts.
Gemini Gets Smarter with Automation
With Scheduled Actions, users can streamline daily routines by asking Gemini to perform specific tasks at set times. Whether it’s a daily morning summary of your calendar and unread emails, weekly blog idea prompts, or real-time updates on your favorite sports team, Gemini now handles it on schedule.
You can either set up new tasks or turn existing prompts into recurring ones, directly within your conversations. All scheduled actions are easy to manage from the dedicated Scheduled Actions section in the app’s settings.

- Get a calendar and email digest every morning
- Receive five fresh blog ideas every Monday
- Schedule sports updates or entertainment news summaries

Who Can Use It?
Scheduled Actions is available starting today to Gemini app users subscribed to Google AI Pro or Ultra plans. It’s also rolling out to select Google Workspace business and education plan holders.
