Lava has launched Storm Lite 5G and Storm Play 5G smartphones in India, featuring 6.75-inch 120Hz displays, MediaTek Dimensity chips, clean Android 15, and prices starting at ₹7,999. Here’s all you need to know.
Lava has introduced two new budget 5G smartphones in the Indian market — the Storm Lite 5G and Storm Play 5G. Both models aim to deliver modern features like high refresh rate displays, fast storage, and clean Android software, while keeping prices affordable for entry-level users.

Display and Design
Both smartphones feature a 6.75-inch HD+ LCD display with a 120Hz refresh rate, offering a smoother visual experience for daily use and light gaming. The design is functional, with a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, USB Type-C port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The devices also carry an IP64 rating, offering resistance against dust and light splashes.
Performance and Hardware
- Lava Storm Lite 5G is among the first to be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6400 chipset. It comes with 4GB of LPDDR4x RAM and up to 128GB of UFS 2.2 storage, expandable via microSD.
- Lava Storm Play 5G is the world’s first smartphone to feature the MediaTek Dimensity 7060 chipset. It also includes 6GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 128GB of UFS 3.1 storage, making it one of the most powerful phones in its price range.

- Storm Lite 5G features a 50MP rear camera (Sony IMX752 sensor) and an 8MP front camera.
- Storm Play 5G includes the same 50MP main sensor, but adds a 2MP secondary camera for depth sensing or additional effects. It also features an 8MP selfie shooter.

Both phones are equipped with a 5,000mAh battery:
- Storm Lite 5G supports 15W charging
