Hyundai has teased the upcoming Ioniq 6 N, a high-performance EV sedan set for debut in July 2025. Teasers reveal aerodynamic upgrades and a sporty new rear design.

Hyundai Motor Company has released new teaser images of the upcoming Ioniq 6 N, the high-performance iteration of its all-electric sedan. Scheduled to make its global debut in July 2025, the Ioniq 6 N will be the second EV from the N division, following the successful Ioniq 5 N.
First hinted at during the global unveiling of the facelifted Ioniq 6 earlier this year, the Ioniq 6 N now steps into the spotlight with a more aggressive look and performance-oriented styling updates. The latest teasers give a clearer look at the enhancements that differentiate it from the standard version of the Ioniq 6.

In terms of design, Hyundai highlights the car’s streamlined silhouette, which has been crafted to improve aerodynamic performance and high-speed stability. At the front, it retains the familiar headlamp layout of the standard Ioniq 6, with slim LED DRLs positioned along the bonnet line, but more aggressive detailing is expected underneath.

The rear of the Ioniq 6 N, however, reveals more dramatic changes. It gets a dual rear spoiler setup—retaining the ducktail spoiler seen on the regular model and adding a larger, functional wing positioned at the base of the rear windshield. The signature lightbar that spans the width of the standard Ioniq 6 appears to have been removed in favour of a revised taillight design, while a sportier rear bumper completes the transformation.

Hyundai says the Ioniq 6 N will be developed in line with the brand’s three key N performance pillars: Corner Rascal, Everyday Sports Car, and Racetrack Capability. These principles were also the foundation of the Ioniq 5 N’s development and are aimed at delivering a fun, track-capable EV without compromising daily usability.

While official specifications are still under wraps, it’s expected that the Ioniq 6 N will share its dual-motor all-wheel-drive setup with the Ioniq 5 N, which produces 641 bhp and features advanced electronic differentials, performance brakes, and a range of N-specific drive modes. More details will likely be revealed at the vehicle’s public debut during the Goodwood Festival of Speed.
