2025 Skoda Octavia RS has been spotted undisguised in India ahead of its official launch. Expected to arrive as a CBU, the performance sedan will get a 261 BHP engine.

Skoda Auto India is gearing up to reintroduce the Octavia RS to the Indian market, and the performance sedan has now been spotted without camouflage, hinting at an imminent launch. The model, previously showcased at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo earlier this year, was recently seen in an underground parking facility finished in a striking Mamba Green shade — a finish that also made its appearance at the Auto Expo display.
Visually, the upcoming Octavia RS sports several aggressive styling cues that differentiate it from the standard model. The front gets a blacked-out grille, matrix LED headlamps with Y-shaped LED DRLs, and larger air intakes integrated into a sportier bumper design. At the rear, the car features sharper LED taillamps, a subtle lip spoiler on the decklid, Skoda lettering, and a VRS badge placed on the right. The model also gets black-finished dual exhausts, a shark fin antenna, and 19-inch anthracite alloy wheels, further enhancing its performance-focused appeal.

In terms of performance, the Octavia RS is powered by a 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine that delivers 261 BHP and 370 Nm of torque. This engine is mated to a 7-speed DSG automatic transmission, enabling the car to sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.6 seconds, with a top speed of 250 km/h. The RS variant also benefits from a 15 mm lower ride height compared to the standard Octavia, and features an electronic limited-slip differential at the front axle for improved cornering grip and driving dynamics.

Although interior images from the India-spec car are yet to revealed, the international version is equipped with a sporty all-black cabin, highlighted by RS-specific graphics on the infotainment system and virtual cockpit. Other key features include black sports seats with integrated headrests, red contrast stitching, a black headliner, and blacked-out interior trims, reinforcing the car’s performance persona.

While the body shape remains largely similar to the regular Octavia, the RS model clearly distinguishes itself with its styling upgrades and badging. Customers can also expect new alloy wheel designs and exclusive colour options, in addition to the signature RS emblems and updated two-dimensional Skoda logos.

The 2025 Skoda Octavia RS is expected to make its way to India as a Completely Built Unit (CBU) and could be priced around Rs 50 lakh (ex-showroom). Sources suggest the launch could take place around the festive season, likely in limited batches, similar to how the Volkswagen Golf GTI has been introduced recently.
