Samsung has officially teased the Galaxy M36 5G ahead of its India launch. The phone is expected to feature the Exynos 1380 chipset, 6GB RAM, and launch under ₹20,000 with AI features and a refreshed design.
Samsung is gearing up to launch its next M-series smartphone in India — the Galaxy M36 5G. The company has officially teased the device through a promotional poster, confirming its imminent arrival and giving us the first look at the rear design. While the exact launch date hasn’t been confirmed, Samsung has revealed that the device will be priced under ₹20,000, making it a potential value offering in the budget 5G segment.
The teaser showcases the rear of the Galaxy M36 5G, featuring a triple rear camera setup aligned vertically. Samsung also hinted that the phone will come with a refreshed colour palette and a lightweight design, aiming to appeal to style-conscious users. The M36 5G will be available on Amazon India, where a dedicated launch page has gone live with a ‘Notify Me’ button, indicating the launch is just around the corner.
In terms of hardware, the Galaxy M36 5G was recently spotted on Geekbench, where it is listed with the Exynos 1380 chipset and 6GB of RAM. The device scored 1004 points in the single-core test and 2886 points in the multi-core test, suggesting performance similar to the Galaxy M35 5G. These scores place it in the mid-range category, suitable for everyday tasks and light multitasking. The device will ship with One UI 7 based on Android 15, and is confirmed to include AI-powered features, although specific details on those capabilities remain under wraps.

As for memory, the M36 5G is expected to come with at least 6GB of RAM, which is standard for mid-range smartphones. While Samsung has not confirmed specifics regarding the display, battery, or camera sensors, expectations are that the phone could share several features with the yet-to-be-announced Galaxy A36 5G, just as the Galaxy M35 mirrored the A35 5G last year.

The Galaxy M35 5G was introduced at ₹19,999, and the M36 seems poised to continue that pricing strategy while offering meaningful upgrades in design and performance.
