Suzuki unveils the Jimny 55th Anniversary Edition, limited to just 55 units in France. This special version marks the end of Jimny’s run in Europe with retro styling, exclusive features, and off-road training.

Suzuki has pulled the wraps off a special edition of its iconic off-roader – the Jimny 55th Anniversary Edition – marking over five decades since the nameplate first debuted. Celebrating 55 years and more than 3 million units sold globally, this limited-run version is available exclusively in France, with just 55 units up for grabs.
This commemorative edition also marks the Jimny’s farewell from the French market, as the SUV is being phased out in several European countries due to tightening emission regulations. The model had already been discontinued in Germany and most of the EU by mid-2024. Now, it returns for one last time in France, but only briefly and in this special guise.

Built on the current-generation Jimny platform that has been on sale globally since 2018, the 55th Anniversary Edition stays true to the SUV’s rugged identity but adds a host of exclusive touches. The SUV comes in four exterior colours – White, Jungle Green, Bluish Black, and Medium Gray. A unique retro-style grille and side stickers give it a distinctive throwback look, while a commemorative plaque placed on the centre console highlights its limited status.

One of the standout features is the soft Rhino spare wheel cover featuring the stylised rhinoceros that has been a symbol of the Jimny since the 1980s. Additional visual details include red Jimny-branded mud flaps at both ends and rubber floor mats in the cabin and boot.
Suzuki has gone a step further by including lifestyle-focused accessories such as a travel journal with an embossed leather cover and a matching key ring, making the ownership experience more personal. Buyers of this edition will also receive a complimentary 4×4 off-road training course, aimed at helping them fully explore the Jimny’s capabilities.

Under the hood, the SUV remains mechanically unchanged. It’s powered by the familiar 1.5-litre petrol engine delivering 102 hp, paired with a 5-speed manual gearbox. The SUV continues to feature Suzuki’s AllGrip Pro all-wheel-drive system with a low-range transfer case for serious off-road action.

Inside, it comes equipped with modern features such as air conditioning, heated seats, a Bluetooth audio system, lane departure and lane change warnings, automatic high beam assist, and traffic sign recognition.
The Suzuki Jimny 55th Anniversary Edition is priced at €28,955 in France, which converts to approximately ₹28.76 lakh. This model is based on the European-spec Jimny, which is a 3-door variant. Meanwhile, the Indian market continues to get the 5-door version of the SUV.
