Honda will debut the Super EV Concept at the 2025 Goodwood Festival of Speed. The compact electric car showcases a retro-inspired design with modern styling, aimed at urban mobility.
Honda is gearing up to debut a new electric vehicle concept called the Super EV at the upcoming Goodwood Festival of Speed 2025 in the UK. Set for a global unveiling in the second week of July, the Super EV hints at Honda’s renewed push into compact urban mobility and could act as the spiritual successor to the discontinued Honda e.
The camouflaged prototype, already teased through official images, shows a compact footprint with a boxy profile and rounded elements. The headlamps—round with dark centres—clearly echo the Honda e’s design language, while a centrally positioned charging port between them reinforces its EV identity. Prominent flared arches, upright proportions, and a flat roofline suggest a practical, upright stance typical of small city cars and Kei vehicles in Honda’s Japanese lineup.
Despite the limited information around specs, the overall design direction indicates that the concept leans on both futuristic and retro cues. From the side, the short overhangs, vertical windshield, and slim pillars all work to maximise interior space. While Honda hasn’t confirmed drivetrain details yet, it describes the Super EV as “a small, sporty model” with a focus on combining everyday practicality with a fun driving character. Notably, the concept has already undergone feasibility testing in the UK—strongly suggesting that this isn’t just a design study but a model edging closer to production.

The Super EV will also participate in Goodwood’s famous Hillclimb event, marking a dynamic public debut. It will be showcased alongside other key models from the brand, including the Honda 0 Series SUV concept, and the Civic Type R Ultimate Edition.
