Xiaomi has launched the MIX Flip 2 in China with a 6.86″ foldable 1.5K LTPO AMOLED display, Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, Leica-powered cameras, and HyperOS 2. The phone supports 67W fast charging, AI features, and deep Xiaomi ecosystem integration.
Xiaomi has officially launched the MIX Flip 2 in China, introducing a major redesign and significant upgrades across display technology, performance, camera capabilities, and ecosystem features. The new flip-style foldable arrives with refined hardware and smarter AI integration, making it one of Xiaomi’s most feature-rich foldables to date.
The MIX Flip 2 features a triple-curve foldable AMOLED design that folds flat and feels smooth both open and closed. It’s housed in a frosted metal frame for better grip and resistance to smudges. The phone weighs 199g and measures just 7.57mm thick when unfolded. A newly engineered “three-link, four-floating plate” hinge strengthens the structure, doubling durability, improving drop resistance by 20%, and enhancing impact protection by 30%. It’s certified for 200,000 folds by both CQC and SGS.
There are two high-end displays on the MIX Flip 2. The inner screen is a 6.86-inch foldable AMOLED panel with 1.5K resolution, adaptive 1–120Hz LTPO refresh rate, 3200 nits peak brightness, and support for Dolby Vision and HDR10+. It also supports wet-touch inputs and offers low blue light with flicker-free certification. On the outside, users get a 4.01-inch AMOLED display—also 1.5K and 120Hz—with 3200 nits peak brightness. It supports over 500 apps in a 16:9 layout, and can handle tasks like message previews, QR code scanning, real-time text editing, voice calls with AI noise cancellation, and full-keyboard input.
The MIX Flip 2 runs on the Snapdragon 8 Elite platform, paired with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 1TB of UFS 4.1 storage. Xiaomi has included a dual vapor chamber cooling system to manage thermal performance more efficiently. Powering the device is a 5165mAh battery using high-silicon technology, offering 67W wired and 50W wireless charging.
Audio is handled by dual stereo speakers tuned with Dolby Atmos. Connectivity features include dual SIM 5G, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, an IR blaster, and USB-C. Xiaomi’s new Starlight wireless system with dual-core AI tuning further enhances signal strength and long-range connectivity.
In partnership with Leica, Xiaomi has equipped the MIX Flip 2 with a capable triple-camera setup. The main camera uses a 50MP OV50E sensor with a Leica Summilux 23mm f/1.7 lens and OIS. There’s also a 50MP ultra-wide camera with a 115° field of view and macro capability up to 5cm. On the front, a 32MP selfie camera supports up to 4K video recording. The camera system also includes enhancements like improved low-light noise reduction, upgraded portrait rendering, and Leica filters. When folded, the phone doubles as a DV camcorder or action camera with flexible shooting angles between 45° and 120°.
Photos and videos can be shared directly with iPhones, and video clips can be turned into dynamic photos. Xiaomi is also offering a companion photo kit (sold separately) that includes a dedicated shutter button and thermal dye-sublimation printing for high-quality color prints.
The MIX Flip 2 runs on HyperOS 2 and offers tight integration with the wider Xiaomi ecosystem. Users can livestream directly to compatible Xiaomi vehicles, control car features using the outer screen, mirror apps to Mac devices, transfer files via NFC to iPhones, and even back up iCloud photos to Xiaomi Cloud.
