Ather has launched the Rizta S with a larger 3.7 kWh battery at Rs 1.37 lakh. It offers 159 km IDC range, practical features, and a focus on everyday usability. Bookings are now open across India.

Ather Energy has added a new variant to its Rizta lineup by introducing the Rizta S with a 3.7 kWh battery pack, priced at ₹1.37 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). This new mid-tier option slots neatly between the base S 2.9 kWh and the higher-end Z 2.9 kWh models, giving buyers a longer range without the premium features of the Z trim.
The Rizta S 3.7 kWh is ideal for customers looking for more range at a relatively affordable price point. Ather claims an IDC-certified range of 159 km, with a true range of around 125 km on a single charge. The battery is backed by a 5-year/60,000 km warranty by default, with the option to extend to 8 years/80,000 km under the Ather Eight70 warranty programme.
Mechanically, the scooter uses a mid-mounted motor that produces 5.76 bhp and 22 Nm of peak torque. Ather says it can accelerate from 0 to 40 kmph in just 4.7 seconds, while top speed is capped at 80 kmph. The Rizta remains focused on family and utility usage rather than outright performance. With a spacious seat, flat floorboard, and a massive 34-litre underseat storage, it’s designed with practicality in mind. Buyers can also opt for an additional 22-litre front trunk (frunk) for extra storage.
In terms of features, the Rizta S comes equipped with a 7-inch non-touch LCD digital display offering Bluetooth connectivity, turn-by-turn navigation, and ride statistics. Safety and convenience are enhanced by features such as auto hold, fall safe, emergency stop signal, theft/tow alerts, and reverse mode. Riders can switch between Smart Eco and Zip riding modes depending on their need for efficiency or quicker response.
With this update, the Rizta S is now available in three battery options: 2.7 kWh, 2.9 kWh, and the newly introduced 3.7 kWh pack — the latter of which was earlier exclusive to the Z variant. The scooter uses telescopic front forks, a 12-inch alloy front wheel, and a front disc brake for added control and comfort.

Ather recently crossed the 1 lakh unit sales milestone for the Rizta, less than a year after its launch in April 2025. The model now accounts for over 60% of Ather’s total sales, driven by its popularity among family scooter buyers.
Bookings for the new 3.7 kWh Rizta S are now open at Ather dealerships and online. Deliveries are expected to begin later this month as production scales up to meet rising demand.
