Hyundai Creta was the best-selling passenger vehicle in India in June 2025 with 15,786 units sold, coinciding with the SUV’s 10-year milestone in the country.

Hyundai Motor India Ltd (HMIL) has announced that the Hyundai Creta was the top-selling passenger vehicle in the country for June 2025, with a total of 15,786 units sold. This marks another major milestone for the mid-size SUV, which is also celebrating a decade in the Indian market this year.
According to Hyundai, the Creta has now claimed the best-selling model tag three times in the first half of 2025 — in March, April, and now June. It has also emerged as India’s highest-selling SUV from January to June 2025, strengthening its longstanding position in the segment.
Originally launched in 2015, the Creta has become one of Hyundai’s most important products in the country. It has consistently led the mid-size SUV space every year since its debut. In total, the company says over 1.2 million units of the Creta have been sold across India, reflecting the model’s widespread appeal among urban and family buyers.
Commenting on the latest achievement, Tarun Garg, Whole-Time Director and COO of Hyundai Motor India, said, “Creta is not just a product, it is an emotion for over 1.2 million Indian families. Over the last decade, brand Creta has consistently redefined the SUV space and remained a strong pillar of Hyundai’s growth in India. Becoming the best-selling model in June 2025, exactly as it completes 10 years in the country, is a testament to the love and trust that Indian customers have placed in the brand.”
The company also highlighted that the Creta’s influence has been so significant that the segment is often informally referred to as the “Creta segment” within the industry — a nod to how it helped shape consumer expectations in the 4.3-metre SUV space.
