itel has launched the all-new City 100 smartphone in India, expanding its budget lineup with a feature-rich offering. Priced affordably, the City 100 aims to attract users looking for a stylish, functional smartphone with a good set of specifications under ₹8,000. Designed with durability and performance in mind, it strikes a balance between sleek looks and practical hardware.
The phone features a 6.75-inch HD+ IPS display with a 90Hz refresh rate, 700 nits peak brightness, and an 83% NTSC color gamut, delivering a smooth and vivid viewing experience. The Dynamic Bar 2.0 enhances user interaction by displaying notifications, alerts, and face unlock prompts in a fluid overlay. Despite its large screen, the phone remains sleek at 7.65mm thickness and is IP64-rated, offering dust and splash resistance for everyday use.
Powering the City 100 is an octa-core Unisoc T7250 processor, paired with 4GB of RAM, which can be virtually expanded to 12GB for smoother multitasking. It comes with 128GB internal storage, suitable for apps, photos, and more. The phone is designed to stay responsive for up to 60 months of use, according to itel, making it a reliable long-term device in the budget segment.

In terms of battery, the 5200mAh unit ensures all-day performance and supports 18W fast charging via a USB Type-C port. For photography, the smartphone is equipped with a 13MP rear camera and an 8MP front camera, covering basic imaging needs. Additional features include a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, IR blaster, and dual-band Wi-Fi for better connectivity.
Running on Android 14, the City 100 also introduces the Aivana 3.0 AI assistant, offering practical tools like two-finger text extraction, image-to-Word/PDF/Excel conversion, AI-generated writing, scanned document organization, and address navigation from emails. The itel City 100 is priced at ₹7,599 and will be available in three color options — Fairy Purple, Navy Blue, and Pure Titanium. The device is already on sale at retail outlets across India.
