Bajaj Auto has launched the 2025 Pulsar NS400Z at Rs 1.92 lakh in India with 43 PS power, quicker acceleration, and new features like Sport Shift bi-directional quickshifter.

Bajaj Auto has rolled out an updated version of its most powerful Pulsar, the NS400Z, priced at Rs 1.92 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The motorcycle, which arrived in the Indian market just over a year ago, now commands a premium of around Rs 8,000 over its predecessor. But this isn’t just a routine price hike—Bajaj has packed in key performance and hardware updates to justify the bump.
The 2025 Pulsar NS400Z UG (Updated Generation) sees a notable power boost. The 373cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine now delivers 43 PS at 9,000 rpm, up from 40 PS. While torque remains at 35 Nm, it now peaks at 7,500 rpm. Redline figures have also shifted—10,700 rpm in Sport mode and 10,300 rpm in other riding modes like Road, Rain, and Off-road.
These changes translate to faster performance figures. Bajaj claims the 0–60 kmph time has dropped from 3.2 to 2.7 seconds, and 0–100 kmph now takes 6.4 seconds, a full 1.1 seconds quicker than before. The top speed has increased to 157 kmph, up from the previous 150 kmph. Fuel efficiency, however, remains the same at 28 kmpl.
Adding to the riding experience, Bajaj has introduced a ‘Sport Shift’ system, a software-based bi-directional quickshifter that enables clutchless up and downshifts—but only in Sport mode. The motorcycle retains its six-speed gearbox.

In terms of mechanical changes, the NS400Z now gets better rubber in the form of Apollo Alpha H1 radial tyres. The rear gets a 150-section steel radial, and the front tyre is now a radial unit too, replacing the previous bias-ply setup. This upgrade, along with the use of sintered brake pads, improves braking efficiency by up to 7%, according to Bajaj.

Suspension duties are still handled by 43mm upside-down front forks and a rear monoshock, with no changes in travel—120 mm at the front and 130 mm at the rear. The chassis remains the same with the twin-spar steel perimeter frame, and the kerb weight is unchanged at 174 kg. It rides on 17-inch wheels with 110/70 front and 150/60 rear tyre sizes. Seat height stays at 805 mm, ground clearance at 165 mm, and it has a 12-litre fuel tank.
As for features, the updated NS400Z retains its fully-loaded package with a full-colour LCD display, Bluetooth connectivity, dual-channel ABS, switchable traction control, and four riding modes—Road, Rain, Sport, and Off-road. The braking system includes a 320mm front disc and 230mm rear disc, delivering a power-to-weight ratio of 247 PS per ton.
