2025 Honda XL750 Transalp revealed ahead of Japan launch. Gets updated headlights, revised windscreen, improved suspension, and a new Pearl Deep Mud Gray colour. Expected India launch in late 2025 or early 2026.

Honda has officially revealed the updated 2025 XL750 Transalp, ahead of its launch in Japan on May 29 via Honda Dream dealerships. The latest version of the adventure-style large sport tourer receives several design updates, improved ride comfort, and a new colour addition, while retaining the same engine from the outgoing model.
Redesigned Headlight and Updated Windscreen
The 2025 XL750 Transalp now features a completely redesigned headlight setup, with new dual projector headlamps that enhance the bike’s rugged, adventure-focused styling and improve illumination during rides. The windscreen has also been reshaped and now includes a central intake duct, which helps in reducing wind turbulence and offers improved wind protection for the rider.

Honda has also used Durabio, a bio-engineered plastic derived from renewable plant sources, for the screen material. Known for its toughness and scratch resistance, it’s also more environmentally friendly.
Improved Suspension and Ride Comfort
To deliver a smoother experience across a range of terrains, suspension settings at both the front and rear have been updated. The revised setup focuses on maintaining ride quality on paved roads while offering better shock absorption on rougher surfaces. These updates contribute to an overall kerb weight of 210 kg, which is 2 kg heavier than before. The overall height is also 5 mm lower, likely due to changes made to the windscreen.
The seat height remains unchanged at 850 mm, while the bike continues to ride on a 21-inch front wheel and 18-inch rear wheel, wrapped in 90/90 front and 150/70 rear tyres. Braking is handled by dual discs at the front and a single disc at the rear. The fuel tank holds 16 litres, and with a fuel economy of 23.1 km/l (WMTC standard), the bike offers an estimated range of around 370 km.
New Colour Option Added

The updated Transalp will now be offered in a new Pearl Deep Mud Gray shade for the Japanese market, alongside the existing Ross White. In India, the current model is sold in Ross White and Matte Ballistic Black Metallic.

Same Powertrain, Improved Throttle Response
The 755cc, liquid-cooled, SOHC 4-valve parallel-twin engine has been carried over, producing 91 PS and 75 Nm of torque. It’s paired with a 6-speed gearbox. Honda has introduced minor changes to the fuel injection system, which are expected to result in better throttle response, especially in low to mid RPMs. The engine management system may also have been refined to improve overall performance.
Pricing
In Japan, the 2025 XL750 Transalp is priced at 1.32 million yen (around Rs 7.74 lakh), which is roughly 55,000 yen (Rs 32,000) higher than the current model. In the UK, it’s priced at £9,899 (approx. Rs 11.25 lakh). In India, the current model is available at Rs 10.99 lakh (ex-showroom), with a recent discount of Rs 80,000 offered earlier this year. The updated model, when introduced, is expected to be priced around Rs 11.5 lakh to Rs 12 lakh (ex-showroom).
