Hyundai is gearing up to launch the next-gen Venue, and fresh spy shots suggest that final-stage testing is in full swing. The compact SUV, internally codenamed QU2i, has been spotted multiple times across India and other markets, hinting that its official debut may happen around the festive season later this year. While the overall proportions remain familiar, key design and feature upgrades are expected to give the Venue a significant refresh.

Despite the camouflage, it’s clear that Hyundai is aligning the Venue with its latest global design language. The front end appears to feature rectangular, vertically stacked LED headlamps, similar to the setup seen on the new Creta and Creta N Line. A Q-shaped element beneath the headlamps adds to the modern look, and sleeker inverted L-shaped LED DRLs may stretch across the fascia, possibly connected by a full-width light bar.

Around the back, the new tail-lamps mirror the angular style of the front. The bumper too is likely to see minor revisions. From the side, the updated Venue retains its upright stance but introduces sharper ORVMs, chunkier roof rails, and redesigned body cladding. Newly styled alloy wheels and a flatter beltline further enhance the SUV’s visual appeal.

Inside the cabin, the Venue is expected to receive a redesigned dashboard and centre console, new seat upholstery, and ambient lighting. Ventilated front seats could make their way into the top variants, adding a touch of comfort. While key features like the 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, Bluelink-connected tech with over 60 features, voice recognition, and Alexa support will continue, Hyundai is also likely to pack in new additions.

One of the biggest upgrades could be the introduction of Level 2 ADAS and a dual-pane sunroof — both firsts for the Venue. On the safety front, the SUV will continue to offer six airbags, electronic stability control, hill assist, and a rear camera, alongside the enhanced ADAS suite.

Under the hood, the next-gen Venue is expected to retain its current engine options: a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol, a 1.0-litre turbo petrol, and a 1.5-litre diesel. Transmission choices are expected to remain the same, including a 6-speed manual, 6-speed automatic, and a 7-speed DCT, depending on the variant.

With these changes, Hyundai aims to keep the Venue competitive in the increasingly crowded compact SUV segment. An official reveal is expected in the coming months, likely around the festive period.
