JSW MG Motor India has refreshed the 2025 MG Astor, making it stand out in the competitive mid-size SUV segment. It is now the only 1.5-litre petrol SUV in its category to offer a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a panoramic sunroof at a price below ₹12.5 lakh (ex-showroom).
The 10-inch touchscreen is standard across all trims, while the panoramic sunroof is available starting from the Shine variant. These premium features add significant value for buyers looking for style and technology without stretching their budget.
The updated Astor introduces two new trims, Shine and Select, alongside the existing Sprint, Sharp Pro, and Savvy Pro variants. Notably, the Sharp Pro trim offers wireless phone charging, making the Astor the only 1.5-litre automatic SUV under ₹15 lakh to feature this convenience. Another segment-first is heated outside rearview mirrors, enhancing comfort in cooler weather.
Inside, the SUV is equipped with ventilated front seats, a digital instrument cluster (7-inch in Select and above), and the i-SMART 2.0 connectivity system, which provides over 80 connected features, including voice commands for weather, news, and cricket scores.

MG Astor continues to focus on safety, boasting more than 50 safety features and 14 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS). These include lane assist, adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning, and more, ensuring a confident and secure driving experience.
The 2025 Astor offers two petrol engine choices: a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated unit producing 108 bhp and 144 Nm, and a 1.3-litre turbocharged engine delivering 138 bhp and 220 Nm. Transmission options include a 5-speed manual and CVT for the 1.5-litre, while the turbo variant pairs with a 6-speed automatic.
Prices range from ₹11.30 lakh to ₹17.56 lakh (ex-showroom), positioning the MG Astor as a well-equipped, stylish, and affordable choice in the mid-size SUV segment.
