MG Hector 2025 is now launched with E20-compliant petrol engine options, starting at Rs. 14 lakh. The SUV features 70+ connected car functions, ADAS, and extended warranty benefits.

JSW MG Motor India has rolled out the 2025 version of the Hector, now upgraded to meet E20 fuel compliance standards. This means the SUV is capable of running on petrol blended with 20% ethanol, in line with the new regulations mandating E20 compatibility for all petrol vehicles manufactured after March 31, 2025. The updated Hector is available in 1.5-litre petrol manual and CVT variants, with prices starting at Rs. 14 lakh (ex-showroom).
The latest Hector also boasts over 70 connected car features and a robust Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) suite, enhancing both tech appeal and safety. To attract more footfalls, MG has launched a special initiative dubbed the ‘Midnight Carnival’, where select dealerships will remain open until midnight on weekends for a limited time.
In a move to make the deal more enticing, MG is offering 20 lucky buyers of the Hector a chance to win a trip to London along with benefits worth up to Rs. 4 lakh. New customers will also receive an extended warranty package—adding two more years or an additional 1,00,000 kilometers to the standard three-year coverage. Alongside, MG is providing two extra years of Roadside Assistance, offering five years of support from the purchase date.
MG has ensured that existing Hector owners are also included in the latest benefits and support offerings. MG is offering them a 50% discount on RTO charges and access to a selection of premium accessories. Under the hood, the Hector continues with its 1.5-litre four-cylinder petrol engine delivering 143 PS and 250 Nm of torque, while the 2.0-litre diesel engine produces 170 PS and 350 Nm. The petrol variants come with a six-speed manual transmission as standard, and a CVT automatic option. The diesel, on the other hand, is paired with a six-speed manual gearbox.
Following this launch, all petrol-powered Hector models built after the regulatory deadline will comply with E20 material and safety standards. The MG Astor had already met this requirement last year. First introduced in 2019, the Hector remains a feature-rich offering in MG’s lineup, with highlights like a panoramic sunroof and a 14-inch HD touchscreen infotainment system.
