Tata Motors has officially launched the updated 2025 Altroz in India, with prices starting at Rs 6.89 lakh (ex-showroom). The refreshed premium hatchback now features updated styling, new features, and is available in four trims – Smart, Pure, Creative, and Accomplished S – across petrol, diesel, and CNG powertrain options.

Design

The facelifted Altroz gets a noticeable makeover with several new design elements. The front sports a 3D-style grille, updated LED headlamps, and redesigned bumpers. One of the most visible updates is the flush-fitting door handles, enhancing its premium appeal. At the rear, the hatchback now features connected LED taillights with a gloss black strip and newly designed bumpers. Fresh dual-tone alloy wheels complete the exterior changes.

Five exterior colour options are available: Ember Glow, Pristine White, Pure Grey, Dune Glow, and Royal Blue.

Interior & Features

Inside, the 2025 Altroz offers a more modern cabin layout with a new “Grand Prestigia” dashboard. The standout updates are the dual 10.25-inch screens – one for the infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, and another for the digital driver’s display.

Other new additions include a 2-spoke steering wheel with an illuminated Tata logo, a touch-controlled climate panel, and ambient lighting running across the dashboard. The centre console has also been redesigned for a more user-friendly layout.

In terms of convenience, the Altroz now offers features like an electric sunroof, wireless phone charger, rear AC vents, auto-dimming IRVM, cruise control, connected car tech, and a 360-degree camera with blind spot monitoring. Notably, the seats are now redesigned with improved thigh support.

Powertrain Options

Under the hood, the Altroz facelift continues with the same engine options as before:

  • 1.2-litre NA Petrol: 88 PS and 115 Nm
  • 1.5-litre Diesel: 90 PS and 200 Nm
  • 1.2-litre iCNG: 74 PS and 103 Nm (in CNG mode)

Transmission choices include a 5-speed manual, 5-speed AMT, and a 6-speed dual-clutch automatic (DCA). While the turbo-petrol variant has been discontinued, the inclusion of the AMT makes the automatic variants more accessible.

Safety Features

Safety continues to be one of Altroz’s key strengths. The facelifted model comes with 6 airbags as standard across all variants, along with ESC, ABS, EBD, a tyre pressure monitoring system, and rear parking sensors. The previous Altroz had scored a 5-star Global NCAP safety rating, and the new model is expected to maintain similar standards thanks to its solid body structure and standard safety features.
