TVS has launched the 2025 Apache RTR 160 in India at ₹1.34 lakh with key upgrades like dual-channel ABS, OBD-2B compliant engine, new colour options, and Bluetooth connectivity via SmartXonnect.

TVS Motor Company has launched the updated 2025 Apache RTR 160 in India, with prices starting at ₹1,34,320 (ex-showroom, Delhi). The latest version of the popular commuter motorcycle brings key upgrades, most notably the addition of dual-channel ABS and compliance with the new OBD-2B emissions norms. These updates mark the most significant changes to the RTR 160 in recent years.
The Apache RTR 160 has been one of TVS’s longest-running and best-selling models in the 160cc segment. While the core mechanicals remain unchanged, the 2025 model now features red-painted alloy wheels, new colour options like Matte Black and Pearl White, and enhanced safety through the dual-channel ABS system — a rarity in this price range. This makes it one of the few motorcycles in its segment to offer the added confidence of ABS on both wheels.
Under the bodywork, the bike continues to be powered by the same 159.7cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine. It produces 16.04 PS at 8,750 rpm and 13.85 Nm of torque at 7,000 rpm, paired with a 5-speed gearbox. The chassis setup also remains the same, using a double cradle frame with telescopic front forks and gas-charged rear shock absorbers. The motorcycle has a kerb weight of 137 kg and a fuel tank capacity of 12 litres, making it one of the lighter options in its class — and giving it a strong power-to-weight ratio for daily commuting and occasional spirited rides.
In terms of features, the 2025 Apache RTR 160 retains the existing equipment seen on the Racing Edition, including three ride modes — Sport, Urban, and Rain — as well as an LCD digital instrument cluster with Bluetooth connectivity through TVS SmartXonnect. The system supports turn-by-turn navigation, mobile notifications, and voice assist functionality.
