2026 Hyundai Verna facelift has been spotted testing in India with subtle design updates, new features like ventilated seats and larger infotainment, and the same 1.5L engines.

Hyundai appears to be preparing a facelifted version of the Verna for the Indian market, with test mules recently spotted in Ooty. The 2026 Verna facelift is expected to launch around the festive season of 2025, bringing subtle design updates rather than a major overhaul.
The spy shots show that the overall shape and rear design remain largely unchanged. The signature LED tail light bar with dot elements has been retained, and the rear bumper may receive some minor revisions. The front end is still camouflaged, but it is likely to feature a redesigned bumper with a less aggressive look, in line with Hyundai’s recent styling updates. The alloy wheels seen on the test vehicle match those currently offered, although this could change before launch. Other features such as the shark fin antenna, chrome accents, and traditional door handles are also expected to stay the same.

Inside, the facelifted Verna could see more notable upgrades. Hyundai is expected to introduce a larger infotainment screen, along with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Additional features may include front and rear ventilated seats, a rear wireless phone charger, rear window sunshades, reclining rear seats, and the brand’s Digital Key system. A panoramic sunroof is also likely to be offered on higher trims.

The powertrain lineup is expected to remain unchanged, with the same 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine and 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine currently available. Transmission options are likely to continue with a 6-speed manual, CVT, and a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox. These engines have delivered a good balance of performance and efficiency for the Verna so far.

Since its launch in March 2023, the current-generation Verna has been a strong contender in the C+ sedan segment, although it trails behind the Volkswagen Virtus and Skoda Slavia in recent sales figures. With this mid-life refresh, Hyundai seems focused on boosting appeal through subtle styling tweaks and added features to better compete with rivals like the Virtus, Slavia, and Honda City.
