2026 Renault Triber and Kiger facelifts have been spotted testing in India. Both models get refreshed styling, updated features, and are expected to launch in the next six months with no mechanical changes.

Renault is preparing for a major product overhaul in India, and two of its most important models — the Triber MPV and the Kiger SUV — are first in line for a mid-life update. Both facelifts have now been spotted on test in the country, hinting at an official launch within the next six months.
The Kiger and Triber have remained largely unchanged since their debut, and this upcoming refresh is expected to bring noticeable design updates. Spy images reveal styling tweaks such as redesigned alloy wheels and revised tail lamps. Both cars appear to feature temporary square-shaped LED tail-lights at the rear, though production units are expected to be more refined. Notably, the Kiger’s tail-lamp shape appears slightly more prominent compared to the Triber.

While the front fascia of the Triber facelift isn’t clearly visible yet, the 2026 Kiger facelift gives a better look at what to expect. The front end sports a significantly larger grille than before — a design element not seen on any existing Renault model in India. This grille is likely to be complemented by the RENAULT branding above it, similar to what’s been seen on international models like the new Duster.
The Kiger retains its signature horizontal triple-barrel LED headlamp layout, but the updated model also features fog lamps for the first time — something that even the current top-spec Kiger does not offer. These may come with a cornering light function, as seen on the Renault Captur sold overseas.

On the inside, both models are expected to get cabin upgrades inspired by the Brazil-spec Kardian SUV. While detailed interior shots haven’t surfaced, Renault may introduce new materials and features to improve the overall experience. The Triber will continue with its 5+2 seating configuration, although spy shots indicate the absence of a headrest for the middle occupant in the second row.
Mechanically, both models are likely to remain unchanged. The Triber will carry on with the 1.0-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine, while the Kiger will offer the same engine along with a 1.0-litre turbo-petrol option. Transmission options include a 5-speed manual as standard, a 5-speed AMT for the NA petrol, and a CVT for the turbo variant.

The Renault Triber remains the only monocoque-based 7-seater MPV under 4 metres in India, especially since the discontinuation of the Datsun redi-GO+. It currently has no direct rivals, although brands like Maruti Suzuki and Hyundai are expected to enter this segment in the coming years — most likely not before 2028.
These facelifts are part of Renault’s broader strategy to introduce five new models in India over the next two years. The list includes the much-awaited next-generation Duster, its three-row sibling Bigster, and their hybrid versions. A premium electric vehicle is also planned by 2027.
The 2026 Triber and Kiger facelifts are crucial updates for Renault as the company gears up to regain momentum in the Indian market. Expect more details as the official reveal approaches.
