Honda Rebel 500 launched in India at ₹5.12 lakh (ex-showroom). Bookings open in Gurugram, Mumbai, and Bengaluru; deliveries begin in June 2025. Powered by a 471cc parallel-twin engine.

Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) has officially launched the much-anticipated Rebel 500 cruiser in India. Priced at ₹5.12 lakh (ex-showroom, Gurugram), the motorcycle is currently available for booking at BigWing Topline dealerships located in Gurugram, Mumbai, and Bengaluru. Deliveries are set to begin from June 2025.
Classic Cruiser Styling with Modern Touches

The Rebel 500 features a distinctive cruiser design that has gained popularity across global markets. It comes with a high-mounted fuel tank, a low seat height of 690mm, and a narrow tail section that enhances the traditional cruiser profile. A round LED headlamp, blacked-out mechanicals, and a minimalist design complete its retro-modern appearance. In India, the Rebel 500 is available in a single Standard variant and offered in a Matt Gunpowder Black Metallic colour.
Engine and Performance

Powering the Rebel 500 is a 471cc, liquid-cooled, parallel-twin engine tuned for smooth and accessible performance. The motor produces 46 bhp at 8,500 rpm and 43.3 Nm of peak torque at 6,000 rpm. It comes mated to a six-speed gearbox. The engine is known for its refined power delivery, making it ideal for both city commuting and relaxed highway cruising. A stubby exhaust adds to the motorcycle’s cruiser character with a deep, thumpy exhaust note.
Chassis, Suspension and Braking

The motorcycle is built on a tubular steel frame and is suspended by telescopic forks at the front and twin Showa shock absorbers at the rear. Braking is handled by a 296mm disc up front and a 240mm disc at the rear, supported by dual-channel ABS as standard. The Rebel 500 rides on 16-inch alloy wheels with Dunlop tyres—130/90 section at the front and 150/80 section at the rear—offering a planted and comfortable ride quality.
Features and Equipment
In terms of equipment, the Rebel 500 comes equipped with an inverted LCD instrument cluster that displays key ride information in a clean and easy-to-read layout. The low seat height, mid-set footpegs, and wide handlebars ensure a comfortable and laid-back riding posture, in line with the typical cruiser experience.
