Hyundai has unveiled the Ioniq 6 N at Goodwood, its most powerful EV yet with 650 PS, 770 Nm torque, and a 0–100 kmph time of just 3.2 seconds. Packed with track-ready features and dynamic tech, it’s built for both thrill and everyday use.

Hyundai has taken the wraps off its latest high-performance EV, the IONIQ 6 N, at the Goodwood Festival of Speed in the UK. This marks the brand’s second full-electric N performance model, following the Ioniq 5 N, and it signals Hyundai’s growing push to blend motorsport tech with future-ready electric mobility.
The Ioniq 6 N is powered by a dual-motor setup producing 650 PS (478 kW) and 770 Nm of torque, propelling the electric sedan from 0 to 100 kmph in just 3.2 seconds using N Launch Control. It reaches a top speed of 257 kmph, positioning itself as one of the fastest production EVs from the Korean automaker.

Designed on Hyundai’s E-GMP platform, the car benefits from a rigid structure and well-balanced weight distribution. Engineers have equipped it with electronically controlled suspension (ECS) and revised chassis geometry, offering enhanced cornering grip and high-speed stability. Cooling improvements to the N Battery system ensure consistent track performance by optimizing thermal efficiency and reducing conditioning time.

For a more immersive driving experience, the Ioniq 6 N features N e-Shift—a system that simulates gear shifts with virtual cues—and N Active Sound+, which delivers synthetic sound profiles ranging from futuristic electric tones to traditional combustion-like noise. Inside, drivers are greeted with an ambient shift light that visually signals gear shift points, elevating engagement during spirited driving.

The Ioniq 6 N’s immersive cabin also features a Harman Kardon sound system co-developed with electronic music pioneer Jean-Michel Jarre. It delivers five distinct audio modes—Studio, Concert, Immersion, Club, and Lounge—each tuned to match different driving moods. At Goodwood, Hyundai complemented the Ioniq 6 N’s debut with an interactive customer pavilion, which gave fans access to exclusive merchandise, test drive simulations, and a private grandstand, accessible through a digital pass.

Hyundai has packed the car with dynamic driving tools including N Grin Boost (which provides 10 seconds of peak acceleration), N Drift Optimiser, and N Torque Distribution with 11 selectable torque levels. A standout feature is the N Track Manager, which lets users create track layouts, log lap times, and compare performance runs using ghost mode—a unique addition for serious driving enthusiasts.
The Ioniq 6 N also receives a host of visual and aerodynamic enhancements. These include a swan-neck rear spoiler, flared arches, a lowered stance, and a drag coefficient of 0.27, all of which contribute to both aggressive styling and better airflow. It debuts in a new Performance Blue Pearl finish, adding depth to Hyundai’s signature colour palette, alongside options like Gravity Gold Matte and Nocturne Grey.

The electric sedan took centre stage at Goodwood’s hill climb during the “N Moment,” where it was joined by other Hyundai N models such as the Ioniq 5 N, i30 N, RN24, and WRC Rally 1 Hybrid. Hyundai also set up an interactive pavilion at the event featuring limited-edition merchandise, test drive simulators, and a look at the Ioniq 6 N’s optional N Performance Parts, designed to personalise the car further for both road and track use.
