Jeep has unveiled the all-new Compass in Europe with hybrid and electric powertrains, offering enhanced design, new features, and improved performance.

Jeep has officially unveiled the third-generation Compass for the European market. The SUV is now based on Stellantis’ STLA Medium platform and will be manufactured in Melfi, Italy. Deliveries are expected to begin in the fourth quarter of 2025. This marks a major upgrade for the Compass, moving away from its older architecture to a modern platform shared with other Stellantis models, enabling hybrid and fully electric powertrains.
New Jeep Compass Design and Dimensions

The new Compass features styling updates inspired by the Grand Cherokee. It gets slim LED headlights, lighting elements integrated into the grille, and wrap-around LED tail-lamps. The front and rear bumpers have a more aggressive design. Side body cladding, squared-off wheel arches, and a black roof help retain Jeep’s signature boxy silhouette.

The SUV now measures 4,550 mm in length, 1,928 mm in width, and rides on a longer wheelbase of 2,795 mm—160 mm more than before. Six paint options will be available: Hawaii Green, Pacific Blue, Antarctica White, Amazonia Brown, Yosemite Grey, and Volcano Black.

The limited-run First Edition gets Matrix LED headlights, 20-inch alloy wheels, cloth & vinyl heated seats, a 6-way manual driver seat with lumbar support, and 360-degree exterior protection materials.
New Interior With More Tech and Space

Inside, the Compass receives a major update with a 16-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 10-inch fully digital instrument cluster, and aluminum trim accents on the dashboard, console, and steering. Jeep has retained physical buttons for key functions below the infotainment screen—a move that many users will appreciate.
With a longer wheelbase, rear seat passengers now get an additional 55 mm of legroom. Boot space also improves, now offering 550 litres of storage capacity.
Multiple Electrified Powertrains
Jeep is offering the new Compass with three types of electrified powertrains tailored to the European market:
- 143 hp mild-hybrid (48V)
- 192 hp plug-in hybrid (PHEV)
- Battery-electric versions (BEV) ranging from 211 hp to a top-spec 370 hp
The range-topping AWD BEV features a new high-power rear motor delivering 49 kW and up to 232 Nm torque. Coupled with a 14:1 reducer, it generates up to 3100 Nm at the rear wheels. Jeep claims a WLTP range of up to 650 km on a single charge, with support for 160 kW DC fast charging—allowing 20–80% top-up in just 30 minutes. A 22 kW on-board charger comes standard.
Off-Road Specifications and Features
Jeep has equipped the 4xe all-wheel-drive variant with a 10 mm suspension lift, resulting in 201 mm of ground clearance. The SUV offers approach, breakover, and departure angles of 27, 16, and 31 degrees respectively. It can wade through water up to 470 mm deep. Standard features include hill descent control and the Selec-Terrain drive mode system.
Safety Features
The new Compass is equipped with Level 2 ADAS, front and rear parking sensors, a rear-view camera, and multiple passive safety systems.
Launch Details
Jeep has not confirmed a release date for the new Compass in India. If it is introduced, it is expected to arrive by late 2026 or early 2027.
