Kinetic Green appears to be gearing up for a strong return to the Indian scooter market, this time with an all-electric offering. The company’s upcoming electric scooter, recently spotted testing on Indian roads, closely resembles the retro design filed in a recent patent. Its launch is likely to take place around the festive season later this year.

What’s grabbing attention is the scooter’s nostalgic styling. The design draws heavy inspiration from the iconic Kinetic Honda DX, blending familiar retro lines with modern touches. The test mule seen on road looks close to production-ready, which strongly suggests that the brand is in the final stages of development.

Key design elements include a rectangular LED headlamp, a digital instrument console, sharp rearview mirrors, a boxy side profile, and tri-spoke wheels. It also sports a classic flat floorboard and contrast red stitching on the wide seat — a subtle tribute to the original DX. The scooter even carries LED DRLs in a pattern resembling the Kinetic logo, while a compact front visor adds to the retro feel.

Hardware-wise, the e-scooter features telescopic front forks, a rear swing arm setup with twin shock absorbers, a front disc brake, and a rear drum brake. It runs on 12-inch wheels wrapped in MRF EV-specific tyres. A hub-mounted motor setup can also be seen on the prototype, though the company is yet to reveal specifications related to performance, battery capacity, or range.

While official technical details are still under wraps, the near-production finish of the test unit suggests that the launch timeline is not far off. Once launched, the Kinetic electric scooter is expected to go up against other retro-modern e-scooters in the market like the Bajaj Chetak and TVS iQube.
