KTM has refreshed its 390 Adventure range in India with the launch of two new variants aimed at very different kinds of riders — the tech-enhanced 2025 KTM 390 Adventure X, and the hardcore, global-spec KTM 390 Adventure Enduro R. While the Adventure X gets a host of electronic upgrades, the Enduro R arrives as a purpose-built off-road machine. Prices start at ₹3,03,125 for the updated Adventure X and go up to ₹3,53,825 for the Enduro R (both ex-showroom).

The 2025 version of the KTM 390 Adventure X now includes several premium features that were previously reserved for higher-spec KTM models. Most notable is the addition of cruise control, which includes both speed limiter and full cruise functionality. The bike also benefits from cornering ABS (cABS) and Motorcycle Traction Control (MTC), offering better handling on slippery or mixed surfaces. New ride modes—Street, Rain, and Off-road—allow riders to quickly adapt the bike’s dynamics to changing terrain.

At its core, the 390 Adventure X continues to use KTM’s familiar 399cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine, tuned to produce 45 hp at 8,500 rpm and 39 Nm of torque at 6,500 rpm, paired with a six-speed gearbox. The motorcycle rides on the same trellis frame and continues to be a go-to option for those seeking an affordable entry into long-distance adventure touring. With the new tech upgrades, it becomes a more versatile and value-packed offering in the segment.

The bigger news, however, is the arrival of the global-spec 390 Adventure Enduro R in India. Positioned as a no-compromise machine for serious off-road riders, the Enduro R comes equipped with Dakar-inspired suspension hardware, offering a generous 230 mm of travel at both ends. Its ground clearance of 273 mm is also notably higher than the 254 mm available on the India-specific variant. This global-spec model is priced ₹17,000 more than the Indian version launched earlier this year.

The Enduro R is powered by a 398.63cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine that makes 46 hp at 8,500 rpm and the same 39 Nm of torque. It rides on 21-inch front and 18-inch rear spoke wheels, wrapped in Karoo 4 tubetype tyres, further underscoring its off-road intent. A minimalistic TFT display, off-road ABS, quickshifter, and ride-by-wire throttle round out its feature set. The dry weight stands at just 159.2 kg, making it highly capable for aggressive trail riding.

KTM’s decision to bring the global-spec Enduro R to India is also a response to growing demand among adventure enthusiasts for a more focused, performance-driven alternative. Unlike the India-specific model, which shares its underpinnings with the standard 390 Adventure, the Enduro R brings international-grade off-road hardware straight to local showrooms — without compromise.

These two launches reaffirm KTM’s commitment to the adventure segment in India, catering to both touring riders who value tech and comfort, and hardcore off-roaders looking for rugged, trail-ready performance. With over 450 dealerships across the country and a strong partnership with Bajaj Auto, KTM continues to strengthen its presence in what is now its largest global market, home to nearly half a million KTM riders.
